Description
Incredibly RARE and nearly antique! This is a Vintage PARADISE OF THE PACIFIC MAGAZINE from August 1948, and also a RARE Special 60th ANNIVERSARY Edition. This publication was created in Honolulu in 1888 with the blessing of King Kalakaua and this is its special 60th anniversary edition. It is in excellent condition! (The publication changed its name to Honolulu Magazine in 1966). Paper just doesn’t last well over the years unless it’s specially preserved. This one has been. The spine is strong, the pages are unbent. It has 33 numbered pages plus a few extra in the back. The cover features a color rendition of Hawaii’s King Kalakaua in full Royal uniform. The magazine is loaded with articles about Hawaii in the 40s, ads, addresses, phone numbers of businesses, history, maps, including all kinds of Hawaiian historical information. This is a Hawaii historical treasure if you’re from the islands or just love them. Please view all photos carefully, they’ll show you the condition of the pub plus give a sampling of what’s inside it. Condition is excellent for an 82 year old magazine. It is approx 9x12”. Will be shipped USPS Priority Mail or Fed Ex whichever is cheaper. Thanks for your interest!
