    Antique Prawn Fishing Basket, Woven Triangular Asian/Hawaiian Design with Bamboo Handle & Braces
    An interesting and still functional antique piece.  I believe it was used to scoop prawns, but could also have been used to pull small local fish, the way I dipped for Smelt as a young boy.
    Came from an estate auction, many, many years ago and has been with us since.  Do not know its exact age or origin, but the estate was loaded with antique and vintage Hawaiian items, so it's likely it came from the islands.  Regardless, it's one of the few, intact such baskets I've seen.
